Main Task

For our project we chose to create;

A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:

• a cover for its release on DVD;

• a magazine advertisement for the DVD.

Introduction to the brief;

We first had to research and understand what was meant by the brief, as we were clueless to what a digipack was as its a fairly new media term. We discovered it was similar to a sleeve for multiple CDs that folds out, and we would need to design net on the computer, but also make a physical version. We also concluded without reply to the question we asked about the "music promo video" that it was just a video that would include us acting along with the song of our choice.

Initial ideas;

After deciding on the brief above, we started to brainstorm about the general look of our album release. We started thinking about our target audience, and how it may be easier to just target our own age group teenagers, as we already know what appeals to them. We also tried to decide on a band to make the music video for, and began looking for girl bands we could possibly recreate as we didn't think we would do as well if we chose to write our own song.
