Seeing as everyone is our group is female, we firstly decided we would definitely base our song on an existing girl bands song. We then made a list of possible girlbands/female solo artists;

Final decision;
We decided we wanted something more up to date and not too cheesy as this is the kind of music we all seem to have some knowledge about and enjoy. After weeks of ambiguous discussions trying to decide between our different options as a group, we wanted something a bit more alternative and upbeat rather than a typical pop song. A final decision was made while two group members were off and the final choice came down to Alphabeat - 10,000 Nights of Thunder, inspired by recent week long thunderstorm. We took this as a sign to make a decision, as we'd just been floating around not committing to something that should be impulsive. We can now commence in detailed research for our cover which was being put on hold because we hadn't chosen a specific song. We chose to use the version of the song that was recorded on the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
